Rita as a single mother worked three jobs. She was a Journalist and a Marketing Director and also gave her time as a Police Special Constable. Her focus on income needed for her and her young son as well as giving back to the community. She then took a leap of faith and initiated, launched and created her own successful businesses in IT Recruitment, Digital Marketing, Publishing, PR and Beauty. Rita faced many challenges and obstacles including a battle with cancer in 2007. Her inner drive and enthusiasm did not deter her but instead it made her more determined to make a success of her companies. She created some winning businesses with key assets within her companies of detailed databases of high net worth professionals and highly regarded individuals.

Her diverse experience, ability to innovate and willingness to lead by example resulted in Rita winning Business Woman of the Year at the Newsquest Newspaper Awards and one of her publishing businesses winning Best New Company within its first year of trading. Rita is proud to be supporting other Entrepreneurs, as a Principal Benefactor and Freeman at The Company of Entrepreneurs.

Rita is a Freeman of The Worshipful Company of Information Technologists and is honoured to have been awarded The Freedom of the City of London.

Rita eventually fulfilled her inner ambition to educate and she proudly graduated with The General Management Certificate of Achievement at The Cambridge Judge Business School.

In recent years Rita has concentrated on her role as a Philanthropist, supporting Cancer Research UK, Make a Wish Foundation, CLL Foundation, The IT charity and many more.
