Charity work

Rita is as a Philanthropist and she supports many charities. Rita is extremely passionate about ‘giving back’. She has for many years partnered with a variety of charities to raise large sums of money and awareness.

Rita is a Trustee at The Asian Women’s Resource Centre for five years. A charity that supports women and children who have suffered from domestic abuse, forced marriages and honour and faith based abuse. She is a former Director/Trustee of The WCIT Charity and was Chair of the Comms and PR Committee at WCIT Charity. Since 1992 the WCIT Charity has supported hundreds of individual causes through grants of almost £4 million. Two charities, CALM (the Campaign Against Living Miserably) and Missing People  jointly won the WCIT Charity IT Award 2018. Rita supports Breast Cancer Research, The Pernicious Anemia Society, India Africa Foundation and many more.

Rita is an Ambassador to the Joyous Charity in Cameroon, Africa. Helping Orphans, Widows, underprivileged youths to educate and make better lives for themselves. Her Global charity support is making a difference to the people of Africa everyday.

Rita Is the Patron of The Worshipful Company of Entrepreneur’s Trust. She works closely with the Trust in giving Grants to emerging charities and helps them grow to their true potential. Rita supports the annual flagship event of the Company – The Raleigh Lecture which is one of the Company’s biggest events bringing together over 150 students from year 12 and 13 students across the UK she inspires the students by sharing her story and mentoring.

As part of the City Livery, Rita supported the Lady Mayors Show 2026 in the 697 Women Initiative that celebrated successful women in the City. An estimated 350 spectators lined the streets. Her enthusiasm and motivation to promote the City’s activities was remarkable.

Rita is the first Ambassador of Five Talents Charity. Five Talents supports savings schemes, literacy training, numeracy training and business training for communities in Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Burundi, South Sudan, Democratic Republic of Congo, Rwanda, Bolivia and Myanmar.

Rita takes part in the 10KM Race for Life for Cancer Research UK every year and the Run for Osteoporosis, plus a number of marathons to raise funds for the causes close to her heart.
