Charity work

Rita is as a Philanthropist and she supports many charities. Rita is extremely passionate about ‘giving back’. She has for many years partnered with a variety of charities to raise large sums of money and awareness.

Rita is a Trustee at The Asian Women’s Resource Centre. A charity that supports women and children who have suffered from domestic abuse, forced marriages and honour and faith based abuse. She is a former Director/Trustee of The WCIT Charity and was Chair of the Comms and PR Committee at WCIT Charity. Since 1992 the WCIT Charity has supported hundreds of individual causes through grants of almost £4 million. Two charities, CALM (the Campaign Against Living Miserably) and Missing People  jointly won the WCIT Charity IT Award 2018. Rita supports Breast Cancer Research, The Pernicious Anemia Society, India Africa Foundation and many more.

Rita is an Ambassador to the Joyous Charity in Cameroon, Africa. Helping Orphans, Widows, underprivileged youths to educate and make better lives for themselves. Her Global charity support is making a difference to the people of Africa everyday.

Rita is WCIT President of the Women’s Rowing Squad which is the first ever all female Livery rowing squad in the UK

Rita attends silent auctions to raise money for charities such as Make a Wish Foundation, The CLL Foundation and many more. She is regularly the highest bidder and is invited as a guest of honour to numerous charity balls. 

Rita takes part in the 10KM Race for Life for Cancer Research UK every year and the Run for Osteoporosis, plus a number of marathons to raise funds for the causes close to her heart.
